Mr. Watson and I have known each other for nearly 30 years. He currently serves as the Director of Administration and Finance at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, where I am honored to serve as the Social Services and Community Outreach Manager.

Lemont Watson has worked at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church as the Director of Administration and Finance for the past 17 years. Lemont has been highly instrumental in hiring key staff members as well as overseeing the day to day operations of a very diverse non-profit organization that serves well over 3200 members. He has also served as the Senior Advisor to our current CEO during his 20 years here. He has effectively served three generations of pastoral leadership, and is the driving force behind our multi-million dollar church wide renovation project. 

During Lemont’s time here at Fellowship, he has developed and cultivated a strong rapport with leaders from various organizations in Chicago and beyond. He is highly dedicated, a self-starter, able to be self-managed and very diligent in his responsibilities, while always performing to the highest standards. I am constantly amazed by the kind of business mind he has and the advice he provides to various civic and religious leaders through Watson Consulting. 

Lemont has been very involved in mentoring and supporting a number of our high school and college readiness students/members as they prepare to graduate high school, pursue college and ultimately obtain their undergraduate degree. I’ve had the pleasure to witness up close and personal Lemont’s talents and willingness to always go the extra mile without question. He’s an exceptional leader who has been a valuable asset to our organization.
